About Belvoir Academy
Belvoir Players Theatre Academy is a leading musical theatre company for young people.
As we have our own theatre, we offer a Unique Theatre Academy environment for children age 6-18. Our academy provides some of the best training in Northern Ireland, nurturing self-confidence, determination, and relevant theatre skills in a safe and inclusive environment.
All our classes are fun and interactive helping to build self-confidence and communication skills. These are taught in an informal and relaxed manner. Every member can develop their skills at their own pace, and nobody is left behind!
Youth theatre like many other team/group environments is not just about the result, but also about the experience. We work hard to ensure that everyone has the best experience, and that our performances are of the highest standards.
Every year the Academy perform several shows, to showcase the skills that have been learnt throughout the year. These shows are performed with a professional band as well as custom designed sets and costumes and are relevant to their age stream.
At Christmas, the Academy members join the adult members of the Belvoir Players playing to many sold out shows where they are invaluable members of the cast, whether as members of the chorus or in principal roles.

Performances
We believe in the tried and tested rep company style training; all of our young performers learn “on the job” through performing exciting theatre shows and are guided through the process by professional and dedicated tutors.
Performance experience is vital for members to showcase their achievements in front of an audience of friends, family members, public audience, and professionals.
Dance Classes
Our talented choreographers are made up of professionals as well as current and past academy members.
Singing Classes
Our highly talented professional Musical Directors work with soloists and chorus members in developing their performance.
Team work
Our Academy members are encouraged to make friends and our tutors ensure a friendly atmosphere and allow time for everyone to get to know each other. Teamwork is a vital part of the members development, not only as an actor but also as a member of the community.
